SELL! SELL! SELL! Big news on the show front! The deal with Leverage Latino was signed this past Friday to be the exclusive marketing and distribution company behind The Hostel Life for the Latin American Markets. Leverage Latino will also be assisting with acquiring new sponsorship deals, securing new shows, and hopefully helping me with my Spanish!

Distribution Deals

Leverage Latino currently markets for Lionel Messi (the number 1 soccer player in the world), Enrique Iglesias (Let me be your hero baby!), River Plate (the Argentinian Soccer Club) and a few more big name stars and athletic teams. We are really excited about this partnership and already have meetings scheduled with FOX Latino and Turner Latin America in the upcoming weeks.

Also we had a call with CEO of Venture Channel and they are currently striking deals beyond being a channel featured on Roku. The Hostel Life is being sold as the premier show for the channel and soon you will be able to stream our shows on Apple TV, Hulu Plus, Amazon, and download the Venture Channel App on your tablets and mobile devices. So there is a lot currently in play for the series!

Website

From our site perspective, we have acquired a few more writers that will be traveling around this summer and throughout the remainder of the year. We are also making strong efforts to provide more information and perspective from the woman traveler. I have received many emails asking us to focus on this more and now we are strongly considering creating a separate women’s section on the site.

One of our featured travel writers, Julianne Wilhelm, will be traveling around Italy, France, England, Switzerland, and The Netherlands over the next few months to help jump start this new woman’s perspective. So if you are traveling around Europe this summer, be on the look out for her!

Final Thoughts

I leave you all this week with one of my favorite travel quotes.

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends. – Maya Angelou
