Talks continue this week with potential distribution partners for the series. You can now see our shows on Tripfilms and AOL TV starting later this month; that's pretty exciting stuff! I was also approached last week by a former producer for a bunch of Aaron Spelling shows--The Love Boat, 90210, Little House on the Prairie--that is currently looking for awesome content to broadcast to a million-some homes in the Caribbean as well as Cablevision in the New York City and New Jersey area. They are also interested in approaching PBS, Spike, and Tuff on my behalf to broadcast the show across those networks and on other online media distribution companies. The PBS pitch maybe up in the air pending on what happens with the election here in the US. Mitt Romney did say he wants to cut funding for it and get rid of Big Bird unfortunately!

Our new chief travel writer and location scout for the series, Maddy Thom, is traveling around Europe over the next 2 months; scouting out amazing hostels, hidden gems, locations to write about, and reporting back to us to shoot for upcoming shows. Maddy's itinerary includes some of the following destinations: Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Turkey, The Netherlands, Romania, and Czech Republic. Be on the lookout for her and contact us if you want her to come visit your hostel or have a recommendation for a place to check out! She is looking to scout out restaurants, adventure activity outfitters, and tours that we can recommend to our audience.

Lastly, there is still a great push to increase writers for the news portion of the site as the home page facelift is starting to happen later this month and should be completed in mid November. The writing team will also be growing exponentially as a result of adding a new Co-editor in Chief from the Harvard Journalism school and fellow traveler. The goal is to have over 40 writers by 2013 to give our fan base up to date travel information. If you want to write for us and have something to share make sure you contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . The home page will offer a more functional real estate to show case up to date articles and messages from the team as well as myself. Also we will finally be able to start our competitions or trivia giveaways with further support from our great sponsors. The first giveaway will be an amazing tent that was donated by MooseJaw; stay tuned to see how you can get your hand on that. Another facelift to the website slated to happen is our photo page, as we are going to ask you our fans and followers to upload some of your favorite photos around the world to share with everyone. Some of our favorite photos will also be submitted for a photo contest, which will win some cool travel prizes.
This weeks motivational quote - " I do not fear failure. I only fear the slowing up of the engine inside of me which is pounding, saying, "Keep going, someone must be on top, why not you? ""
